In the third season of the Game of Thrones the old city of Dubrovnik was again used for the exterior shots of the capital, King's Landing. One of the new filming locations in Croatia, near the old city of Dubrovnik, is the botanical garden in Trsteno. Trsteno Arboretum double up as the beautiful gardens of King’s Landing palace.
