In the third season of the Game of Thrones the old city of Dubrovnik was again used for the exterior shots of the capital, King's Landing. One of the new filming locations in Croatia, near the old city of Dubrovnik, is the botanical garden in Trsteno. Trsteno Arboretum double up as the beautiful gardens of King’s Landing palace.

Ser Loras Tyrell escorts Sansa (Sophie Turner) to the gardens to meet with Margaery (Natalie Dormer) and their grandmother, Lady Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg). Sansa is asked to tell them about King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), and whether he will be a good husband to Margaery. Sansa warns the Tyrells that Joffrey is a monster.

While Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) was unhappy about her arranged marriage to Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) tries to make Sansa feel better. Margaery explains her that Tyrion is handsome, nice and powerfull lover.

The newlyweds are enjoying a walk through the lush palace gardens. Tyrion and Sansa find they have much in common, they shared status as outcasts. He is ostracized as the Imp and she is looked down upon as the traitor’s daughter.
