The old city of Dubrovnik doubles for the capital of Westeros over the last four seasons of Game of Thrones series, and was again used in season six for the exterior shots of King’s Landing, including a shocking season finale in which the Great Sept of Baelor is blown up with wildfire.

In the season finale, the Great Sept of Baelor and surrounding buildings are destroyed by wildfire as a result of the vengeful plan of Cersei Lannister that got everyone killed.
